Constitution of Syndicate Assault

Preamble

We, the members of Syndicate Assault ratified this document on Thursday,
August 17th, 2006. This document is to regulate all the actions of the Syndicate
Assault members, from Founder to Recruit. To maintain order and create a great
peaceful place to meet and game with new people under the same tag, that being the tag of Syndicate Assault

Article I - Introduction to Our System

Section I - Basic Job Explanation of Ranks

All Syndicate Assault members are subject to these rules, regardless of
rank. The rank of "Founder" has the final word on most if not all matters. The
"Commanders/Generals" are the enforcers of this document about to follow. The "Officers" are the teachers of the rules, protocols and maintain a level of peace among lower ranks of the clan while keeping a high level of gaming activity.
Officers can also be enforcers in a situation that lacks a general. The "Warrant
Officers" are to recruit new members, however all members may
recruit, but the warrant officer's main job is to keep high levels of activity
and bring in active recruits. The "Enlisted" members are expected to keep very
active and teach even newer members important information. They are
anticipated to know the filling of this document before accomplishing the rank
of "Warrant Officer".

Section II - Selection of Generals and Officers

The selection of Generals and Officers are up to the current ranking Generals
and Commanders with or without the other knowledge of other members. Founder has the final decision in all new Generals while the General (4*) can decide all new officers. These new Generals/Officers are to be selected by a meeting of current ranking officials at least once a month for Officers and once every few months for Generals unless a problem was to arrive other indicating a need for a meeting.

A majority vote of those in attendance, of at least 75% will be
selected for promotion. However, a General/Commander in the selection of new officers may veto up to no more then two promotions and a Founder can veto any promotions to General/Commander regardless of vote amount. Other members such as current Officers and/or Warrant Officers may be allowed to attend these meetings if the Generals/Commanders agrees to this.

Section III - Changes to this Document

All changes to this document will be added to the document in the appropriate
section. In order for an amendment to gain its way on this document, members
with the rank of "Officer" may propose an amendment, which is then passed to the Generals for approval or denial. At lest 66% of Generals in attendance must approve this proposal in order for an amendment to be added. Alternatively, a Commander may propose an amendment. If, however, a General wishes to propose an amendment, he/she will not be allowed to vote "Yes" or "No" on this amendment, also regarding Commander proposals.

Article II - Our Protocols and Disciplinary System

Section I - Your Agreement to be in Syndicate Assault

You, the member when being recruited have agreed to any rules listed in the
following document. Being in Syndicate Assault you have agreed to wear our tag, [SA] and [SAr] for Trail Members. As of being recruited into Syndicate Assault you will support our tag before yourself. The clan is first before you! Wear the tag with pride as much as you can. You have made it clear that you are currently not in another clan upon the date of your recruitment. Listed in the following document is the detailed explanation of the Syndicate Assault protocols, upon being recruited you have agreed and will defend, follow and uphold the rules and regulations listed in this document.

Section II - Protocols

All members are required to login on our clan website at least once every 15
days to avoid automatic DSL disablement. Members are only allowed to have
one account currently active in Syndicate Assault for every game we support.
Members should not provide fraudulent information in their profiles, such as
incorrect email address, Date of Birth, Country and other information. Members shall not break any rule defined in a "Terms of Service" (TOS)
agreement; also know as "End User License Agreement" (EULA) for any game this Syndicate Assault supports. Syndicate Assault will uphold these agreements as if SA was the game creator itself! Members of Syndicate Assault shall not do the following…
» Use a third party program that modifies game play in their favor, this means
CHEATING/HACKING/GHOSTING!
» Shall not "backstab" gamers on a Syndicate Assault Account.
» Shall not "winbot" on a Syndicate Assault account to boost their record.
» Shall not "bad manner" members for any reason. If you can't say something
nice then don't say it at all. Included but not limited to the use of inappropriate language and racial remarks.
» Shall not "bad manner" community members for any reason without
notifying a General before hand of the actions behind it.

All members should do the following things while in Syndicate Assault.

» Members should be active, should log in once every 7 days.
» Members should follow the commands of their superior ranking
officers/generals.
» Members should report any infractions of these rules to a general.
» Respect your Commanding Officers/Generals/Founder.

name and location. Be honest about what you place in your profiles, plain
and simple.
» Be honest to your friends & members, if you are going to tell them personal
information, don’t lead anyone on, be truthful.

Section III - Disciplinary Actions

All demotions and/or disablements happen for a reason, there may not be a very good reason but there is a reason. At most times, first offenses will be
warnings followed by demotions and if needed disablements. If an officer gives you a demotion/disable and you feel it was out of line then you will need to contact the generals, they will then investigate and decide whether the
demotion/disablement was proper. The same treatment shall apply to generals.
Depending on the offense, punishments will vary.

» Recruits must login every 7 days to avoid disablement recommended 3 days.
» Enlisted must login every 15 days to avoid disablement recommended 3 days.
» Warrant Officers and Officers will be demoted ONE rank every day after 25 that they fail to login.
» Warrant Officers and Officers will be disabled after 30 days if they fail to
login.
» Generals will begin to lose rank after 60 days no login, and will be disabled
after 120 days.
» Posting irrelevant news on the website is subject to demotion followed by
disablement.
» All members must have a valid account on game or they are subject to
disablement unless they are website support only.
» Members found using hacks on any game servers are entitled to disablement from Syndicate Assault.
» Members found disrespecting a community member is subject to demotion.
» Supplying false information in their login is subject to demotion/disablement
after one warning.
» Disrespecting another member is subject to punishment if evidence is supplied.
» Asking for promotions/medals is strictly prohibited; it can warrant demotion
and possible disablement if continued to do so.
» Disrespect SA or other members is subject to a demotion. Repeated
offensives can result in a disablement.
» Members should not vote on trial members without playing with them first.
» Members found making racist remarks not viewed by that person or others at the time (They don’t think its a joke) will be demoted and even disabled.

If we need to change these protocols at a later time we shall add the changes in the bottom of the current list, in the form of an amendment. These punishments for the actions defined above cannot go without approval of at least 2 other members, such as an Officer shall not demote a member unless he has approval of two other Officers and a General shall not disable unless they have approval of two other Generals. Members that are allowed to give approval must be of the rank "Warrant Officer WO1" or higher. If a person decides to go outside the defined punishments listed above they can receive a harsh punishment to be defined at a meeting of generals and officers. This meeting is not limited to demotions for a person's actions but can disable this member if found to be

Article IV - Miscellaneous Information

Section I - Coming Back Information

» Non-Hostile Return:
If you left SA on NON-Hostile terms in any manner the coming back rules
still applies to you upon returning to the clan. Leaving the clan is a major
issue and it should be dealt with severe punishments upon returning to Syndicate Assault.
Previous rank was anywhere from Brigadier General to General:
Upon your undisablement you will be demoted to Second Lieutenant by the site.

Previous rank was anywhere between WO1 to Colonel:
Upon your undisablement you will be demoted to Sergeant Major by the site.
NOT only that, but the period each promotion will increase a week. So you will
have to wait two weeks between each WO promotion, and three week between each officer promotion.
Coming Back rules can be exempt if and only if AT least three or more generals agree that you can exempt from it. However, the reason must be reasonable, and valid. Commanders will have the final words on it, if it seems necessary.

Section II - Coming Back Rules Hostile

» Hostile Return:
If you left SA on Hostile terms the punishment is MUCH more severe.
Previous rank was anywhere from Brigadier General to General:
Upon your undisablement you will be demoted to the lowest Warrant Officer on the site. Previous rank was anywhere between WO1 to Colonel:
Upon your undisablement you will be demoted to Private First Class on the site. NOT only that, but the period each promotion will increase once every 2 weeks... So you will have to wait three weeks between each WO promotion, and four week between each officer promotion.
Coming Back rules can be exempt if and only if AT least three or more generals agree that you can exempt from it. However, the reason must be reasonable, and valid. Commanders will have the final words on it, if it seems necessary.
Members that have left SA more then three times will not be allowed back
into Syndicate Assault.

Section II - Recruiting Policy

The recruiting
policy is always changing, it will never be perfect. Recruiting is open to those
members with the rank of Warrant Officer and higher. At the time this document was created, the recruiting system was based on a "trial membership". Trial members were defined with the tag of "[SAr]" which stood for "Syndicate Assault Recruit". Trial membership is based on what a person played as a game and how many votes he could achieve within ten days of being tested. Voting was also a job of recruiters. Syndicate Assault has always liked members with good manners; however that is not the only thing a person shall be recruited for. People that wish to join must have basic knowledge in the game they play. For example, they know what units belong to a race in Star craft: Brood War and how to achieve making these units. They would also know what units are effective against other or the same races. They should know how to switch weapons when needed, the best way to kill a sniper. How to play the advantages of the map. We do however want members that have respect, little skill and are willing to improve in skill in this clan; we do not want people that just purchased a game 2 days ago and still learning the names of workers for each race and has a complete lack of respect. If the recruiting policy is to ever change it will be amended in the end of this section of the document.

Section III - Diplomatic Relations

Syndicate Assault does not go out looking for "allies". We do however like
to keep friendly relationships with other communties. Any communities may request a alliance if they are three years young since their date founded, have at least 50 community members, do not endorse or condone hacking, have a decent website with a forum.
Also should have stable leadership, meaning there isn't a power struggle every
other week on who is the next commander.
» Minimum Requirements to ally with [SA]
» Community must be led by a mature leader(s) (No 13 years old kid(s)).
» Community must be at least 3 months old.
» Community must not support the use of hacks and prohibited cheating.
» Community must have at least 50 active members.
» Community must have a decent website, and a forum.
» Community must not be on bad terms with one of our allied communties.

Section IV - Name Changing Information

Name changing is dealt very strictly in Syndicate Assault. You are NOT allowed to change your name at all. The only possible way is to speak with and get 70% of the current members to agree with your name change. But you
must provide an explanation about it. If we found it to be false, then you will
be punished for it, punishment includes demotions, revoke of loyalty medals, and possibly disablement from Syndicate Assault.
But for Enlisted members, you will have up to the rank of Command Sergeant Major 3 to decide if you want to keep the name or not. After you have advanced beyond the rank of Command Sergeant Major 3, changing name prohibited. But name changing is possible, and you must face severe consequence for it, which is to start all over again at a private and work your way up again with your new name. Because once you changed your name you are not the same person anymore to the community members, the other members will not look at you as the same person, but someone new cause of the new name. Therefore, you must start over.

Article V - Amendments.

Everything listed in this document is subject to change provided the
requirements are met that have been defined in Article I. Section III. All
amendments will be addressed by the number they were approved and added to this
document were seen fit.
